It was so nice seeing you at the Endangered Species Fair. As you can see the students on the Pine Team have been working very hard. Your support is evident as your children continue to amaze us with their work ethic.
Next week, the students on our team will participate in Smarter Balanced testing. Students will be testing in their homeroom classes on April 19th and 20th and after vacation on May 1st and 2nd. This can be a stressful time for some children. It will help your child if he/she gets plenty of sleep and eats a healthy breakfast during these days.
We are also hoping that you could send healthy snacks to share with your child’s homeroom during this time. We are looking for: bottles of water, bagels, spread for bagels (cream cheese/ jelly), muffins, fruit, cheese and crackers, pretzels, etc. Please be aware that some students have nut allergies so please let us know what is in the food you are providing. Your help providing snacks will make testing easier for the students.
On April 21st, we are planning a special earth day celebration. We have a guest speaker coming from UNH to present about pollution and recycling. We will also be creating upcycled projects from old t-shirts and plastic bags. Please send in donations (plastic grocery bags, duct tape and old t-shirts).
Again, we thank you for your help!
